AR-15 TACTICS
This comprehensive course is designed to transform all levels of AR-15 owners into knowledgeable, highly skilled and efficient operators of one the world’s most recognizable and popular weapons. Whether you are a first time shooter, or simply want an overview refresher course, this is the block for you.Instruction/Training Block: OPEN (based on experience)Requirements: AR-15 of choice (with or without scope), 2 mags minimum, 400 rounds ammo, ear and eye protection, recreational attire, choice of sling, web belt for mags carry, protective vest (optional unless required), operator’s gloves (optional), knee and elbow pads (optional).Details: Class Instruction on theory, safety guidelines, weapon breakdown and cleaning. This portion proceeds more than 4 hours of range work, covering all aspects of aiming in defensive situations, shooting positions, room clearing, multiple targets, shoot and move, malfunction clearing, zeroing in and more.Time prepares shooters in advanced defensive concepts such as: Weak hand shooting, injured defense, multiple targets, low light, team training, building clearing, car defense, compromised position, shooting from cover and concealment, tactical and empty reloads, and more. The concept is simple: If you can see and identify the threat…you can stop it!
ADVANCED AR-15 TACTICS
The efficient AR-15 operator will want to take his/her skill set to the next level with more intense range time, band advanced techniques. This is where the hard work at previous DOA Tactical AR-15 blocks pays off.
Instruction/Training block: OPEN (based on experience)Requirements: Same as AR-15 TACTICS.
Details: Advanced theory, shooting, shooting and more shooting! Operators must prepare to get down and dirty as DOA Tactical Instructors take them through the finer points of domestic defense, multiple targets, team work, back up weapon presentation, distance shooting, technical shooting positions, round management, over penetration solutions and much more. “Hands on” is the key here. Confidence, effective skill at the highest level whether LEO or private citizen is the goal.
